Care for the body growing a body

Gentle, position-supported massage for the aches of pregnancy — brought to your home, because the last thing you need right now is another errand.

Why massage helps right now

Pregnancy asks a lot of your body: the low back arches, the hips loosen and ache, legs swell, and sleep gets complicated exactly when you need it most. Prenatal massage meets each of those head-on — easing the muscles that are working overtime, improving circulation to tired legs, and calming a nervous system that has plenty on its mind.

Kim trained in prenatal massage as part of her licensure and supports you in a comfortable side-lying position with cushions and bolsters she brings herself. Book a prenatal session or call (256) 426-5505 with questions.

Why at home

The spa trip, minus the trip

No drive, no waiting room

Third-trimester errands are their own workout. Your session starts the moment Kim's table is up in your living room — and ends with you already home, already in comfy clothes.

Your own everything

Your bathroom two steps away, your snacks, your thermostat, your couch for the post-massage nap. Comfort matters more now than it ever has.

Easier to keep up

Relief compounds when sessions are regular. Clients across Kim's service area — from Huntsville to Madison — keep a monthly or biweekly rhythm precisely because nobody has to go anywhere.

Safe, comfortable, and yours

Every first prenatal session starts with a short health conversation, and if your pregnancy is high-risk Kim will ask for your provider's okay — the same standard a good spa would hold, without the spa's parking lot. Sessions use lighter, rhythmic pressure and steer clear of the areas and positions that aren't pregnancy-appropriate. You stay draped, supported, and in charge of the pressure the whole time.

After baby arrives, the table still travels: a postpartum Swedish session is a favorite welcome-back, and rates for everything are in the cost guide.

Prenatal questions

Asked by every mom-to-be

What week should I get a prenatal massage?

Most providers suggest waiting until after the first trimester (around week 13), and many moms-to-be book regular sessions through the second and third trimesters as the aches ramp up. Every pregnancy is different — check with your OB or midwife, and Kim will ask a few health questions before your first session.

Is 37 weeks too late for a prenatal massage?

Usually not — many clients find late-third-trimester massage is when they need it most, and with your provider’s okay it’s generally fine right up to your due date. At that stage an in-home session is especially welcome: no car seat, no waiting room, and your own bathroom two steps away.

Can a prenatal massage help with hip pain?

Hip and pelvic-girdle aches are among the most common reasons pregnant clients book. As ligaments loosen and posture shifts, the muscles around the hips and low back work overtime — careful, position-supported massage helps them let go. Tell Kim where it hurts and she’ll focus the session there.

Will insurance pay for prenatal massage?

Usually not directly — most insurance plans treat massage as wellness care. Some HSA/FSA plans will reimburse massage with a letter of medical necessity from your provider, and Kim can give you a receipt for your session. It’s worth a quick call to your plan.

How do I lie on the table while pregnant?

Comfortably on your side, supported by cushions and bolsters that Kim brings and arranges — the standard, safe setup for pregnancy massage. No lying flat on your stomach, and in later trimesters no long stretches flat on your back either. You’ll be draped and warm the whole time.

Is prenatal massage safe?

For most healthy pregnancies past the first trimester, yes — with a therapist trained in prenatal work, proper side-lying positioning, and your provider in the loop. If your pregnancy is high-risk or you have complications like preeclampsia, get your doctor’s explicit okay first. Kim reviews your health history before every first session.
